Metal Packaging Europe supports EU policies that strengthen the metal packaging industry, including the Circular Economy Act, the Clean Industrial Deal, and the Steel and Metals Action Plan. We advocate for resilience and competitiveness measures that protect the entire steel value chain, from raw materials to downstream products like packaging. Our goal is to ensure that metal packaging remains central to Europe’s green and industrial transition.
To this end, we liaise with the European Commission, Parliament and Council to ensure that both legislative and non-legislative initiatives are proportionate and workable for all parts of our industry and allow metal packaging to play its part in achieving a true
